I am Elizabeth. I am passionate about learning and I love collaborating with others. I bring these qualities to helping others to master the English language.

English is a rich language and I have an excellent grasp of all its forms - colloquial, informal and formal. My approach is informed by my Irish culture, my experience of living in different parts of the United Kingdom, and by the variety of my lifetime work experiences. These include roles as a research plant biochemist, group facilitator, mediator and trainer, and course author for the Open University. 

I taught English at a private language school in Andorra and online to business professionals in France and Germany. In 2021, I moved to Spain and I now work with professionals in the health and other sectors. I offer them support in developing their English communication skills with a focus on working effectively in pressured situations such as international interactions. 

When not researching, teaching or writing, I love to travel and hike, study natural history, spend time with family and friends, and indulge my passion for dancing Argentine tango!
